Does water really affect OPK?

Hi everyone, I'm only just past my first month TTC and have been using OPKs. I never got a clear positive despite testing daily (sometimes multiple times a day)  I read 2 pm is best time to test so I'd been doing that and evening. I know I may not have O'd yet due to just coming off the pill. However I have been thinking - I drink a ton of water during the day... is anyone else like that? Did it affect your opk results? Is it better for me to test with fmu?

Water is the only thing I drink (no hot drinks fizzy stuff or juice). I got 3 positive opks last month (between 11am- 8pm then 11am the following day); that was days 11 & 12. I did try FMU but it was much lighter, so only did it once. Still waiting for positive opk this month, but now I'm only testing once a day... For now... Also have you tried charting your temperature? Mine rose by 0.40 after ovulation. Good luck and have fun trying!

I have wondered the same thing. That's the main reason I take mine in the morning.  I drink a lot of water and urinate frequently throughout the day.  I just came off the pill a few weeks ago. I am on cycle day 22 and still no positive OPK.  I'm not sure if I haven't ovulated or if I just missed my surge by testing so early.  I suppose I'll find out next week if AF shows up on time.

I just started using opks last month and got my first smiley despite an endometrioma on my ovary. I drink 3l water a day. I don't know if this helps?
