What do you recommend?

I'm looking for a new birth control since I just had a baby two weeks ago and I'd like to go over my options and have the opinions of others to help make my decision.

I am not a big fan of iuds after hearing horror stories and the risk of them. I was on the depo shot for 2 yrs and that worked well except the weight gain  was awful. I recently switched to NuvaRing and LOVE it! It works really well for me. Short,  light periods and it's comfortable. Hubby can't feel it either during intercourse. I don't take it out during sex even though you can supposedly. No weight gain or any nasty side effects. Just some mild cramping when I take it out after three weeks and then again upon insertion. Nothing bad at all. :) I'm a happy camper with it and it's a good option for me since I cannot remember to take a pill daily.

Wow it's pretty even so far.

I would just make sure you look at the side effects the most, ask some of your friends what they have tried. Family members too.

I am scared of IUDs simply because my friends' became dislodged And implanted itself in her falopian tube, this caused her tube to rupture and lose her child that she had become pregnant with (unknowingly)

Try and weigh out the options that work best for you.
I have heard many good things about the shot.

I wouldn't recommend birth control. When I was on birth control I learned that it's synthetic hormones and it ruins your gut bacteria, and lowers your immunity which makes your body a breeding ground for bacteria and parasites. I ended up not being able to digest lactose (being lactose intolerance.) due to my gut bacteria being ruined.  I also got Bacterial Vaginosis because it highered my vaginal PH and I also developed seasonal allergies. I got rid of my lactose intolerance, allergies, and BV by getting rid of birth control  and doing a parasite cleanse.

The IUD has very rare but serious side effects but that's why you go in every so often to check the placement. It's not recommend to go in every 6 months but it's smart. You also are supposed to check on your own which is incredibly easy. But once it's in you don't have to worry about a daily pill. And it works immediately. The pill takes up to three months to truly become effective. And sometimes it is hard to remember to take the pill everyday and if you miss is messed everything up. The thee forms I've heard are really bad. And I've tried them all because my period caused me  a lot of physical pain and the IUD has been the best choice and I wish someone had told me about it sooner

I've heard some pretty big horror stories with the IUD so I personally will always avoid that. Of course you should consult your health care provider and do some research. Being a busy mom you may have a hard time remembering to take the pill at exactly the same time everyday. That's just my opinion, I don't know you personally so please don't take any offense! If having another child isn't in your three year plan the implant may be a really great choice. There's no remembering to take a pill and its easy, pricey however. But the pill can be costly as well(my old one was $100), and hopefully insurance can help you out. But to me I think anywhere from $100-$400 for the implant that last 3 years is better than $100 (maybe cheaper maybe more) a month for the pill.
