Hair loss with an iud?

I got mirena about 2 months ago, and pull out significant clumps of hair everyday. I'm having it removed Friday and having the copper iud put in. Has this happened to anyone else?

I've had my IUD for two years and my hair has significantly thinned out. I also work in an OBGYN & it's not uncommon to see that.

Hormones can play a huge role in hair loss. I would see a dermatologist to discuss any possible reasons for this. It could be hormonal, iron levels, thyroid issue, etc.
