Is anyone else scared to death of anything going inside their vagina postpartum?

I'm 12 weeks postpartum after an emergency c-section and I don't anything down there. Haven't had sex yet and I'm putting off my Pap smear too. Anyone else in the same boat?

Ok so this may be a totally ignorant thing to say but if you had a c-section isn't your vagina totally fine? I had a vaginal delivery with my first so I don't really know but see hurt like hell after having her. I would think with a c it would be fine though

I had my daughter vaginally with 1st degree tears & I healed fine! But I don't & did not want anything around that area... Sex has been awful so I stopped trying & my PP appointment I wanted to DIE when she checked me!

I delivered an 8#9oz baby and got a 2nd degree tear that took 16 weeks to heal properly. Meanwhile I was having sex since 12 weeks even though it was excruciating and I would bleed afterwards and be sore for days. I am now 18 weeks pp and it doesn't hurt at all thankfully! We just still need a lot of lube since breastfeeding makes you really dry down there!

I was terrified. I knew I was healed up and my SO tried to get me in the mood several times but I shut that down real quick. Then I went in for my postpartum check at 7 weeks and the jerk doctor (not my regular doctor) did the checkup with the speculum, quite roughly I might add, and it didn't hurt any more than it did before I had my baby.

Also, I don't know if the doctor sewed me up tighter or having a baby made me more sensitive or what, but sex actually feels better now which i didn't think was possible lol
