Has a guy ever "mansplained" something to you?

It's when guys assume you don't know something because you're a woman and then proceed to explain it to you like you're a child.

Anyway, my friend has a coworker that questions everything she does and then mansplains why, even though she's obviously already thought through all of his concerns. Such a jerk.

Have you experienced something like that?

When I was still in the church (Catholic), after I had explained contraception to a group of young tweens (11-14 yrs)a CCD teacher tried to mansplain how the Pill aborts babies and women who take them are sluts and murderers. Then he proceeded to call me a whore for taking the Pill after explaining to them that it helps women with irregularity and painful symptoms as well. #Catholicism

My husband is guilty of this. Every time I just tell him, I know what he meant when he just said the word. He doesn't have to explain it to me.

OHMYGOD I feel like that word explains so much. Me and my boyfriend have started working out together and I used to be more of a cardio person, he's into weights (like any other guy) and whenever we lift I feel like he mansplains something new every time! We've been going to the gym for 3 weeks already and he keeps bringing stuff up about my form everytime. I already told him it's annoying but he says he's just trying to help. I feel I can't say anything

Even men get "mansplained" by other men -said by my SO.

Anyone gets unnecessarily 'splained to when person B thinks thinks person A is completely ignorant because of their outward appearance. I get it a lot because of my southern accent. People apparently assume I've never been inside a school...you know, because they're assumptive assholes.

I'm using this word from now on lol
