Pill or d&c?

Question

Anybody take the medication instead of doin the d&c? I'm so nervous for the d&c but I also don't want to wait to pass it myself because that could take awhile.

I took the pill instead of a d&c and it worked within 12 hours of me taking I it.  I recommend you take the pill.  It's safer and won't cause scar tissue like a d&c

I chose the medication. It was the "happy" medium for me. I couldn't wait it out bc I needed to work, but I also felt if my body had a natural way to handle this that I had to at least try it first. It took 2 doses for me, but I'm glad I did. The process was not fun, but going through it helped me deal with the emotional side of everything too.

I was 12 weeks and my baby stopped growing at 9 weeks. I chose to have a D&C because I needed something a little more controlled because I have a 5 and 3 year old. And my 5 year old is autistic. I had my D&C on 8/25. Hardly had any cramping or bleeding after the procedure or the second day. I bleed and cramped (no worse than a period) on day 3-4 post op. Tomorrow marks one week and I haven't had any cramps or bleeding (or VERY light) the past two days. God forbid if I were to miscarry again, I would go for a D&C again.

I did the pills but my body never full passed the baby and it made my miscarriage build up inside causing me alot of pain so they did a emergancy d&c which went bery well ..not scary at all. They pit u to sleep

I opted for the pill last Wednesday because I was only 6 weeks when I miscarried. Maybe because I was not that far along I only felt slight cramping. Not bad enough to even take a pain pill. I am still spotting, but the cramping is gone. I chose this route in hopes to speed up recovery.

I took the pill when i was ten weeks along in January, but still ended up having a D&C since I still didn't pass all products of conception. Taking the pill was a horrible experience, the pain was excruciating for me. The D&C was quick and you are put under anesthesia for the procedure. Overall, I have used the pill 3 times and have had 3 D&C's. Only the last time did I have to do both. Good luck!

I did a pill the first time to deliver our 13 week old. I could not imagine having nothing to see and hold after a D&C. Delivering was a much more healing approach for me.

The second time I opted for a D&C. I was 11 weeks, but it was a blighted ovum where no baby had ever formed. I was not given an option for a pill. Didn't want to wait for my body to realize it needed to push everything out since it had already been so long. I wanted to get everything out so we could start trying again much sooner.

Praying our third pregnancy will be successful.

I was told last Monday at 10w2d that my baby never grew past 7 weeks. I had already started spotting which is why I had the ultrasound. I decided to go the pill route so my doctor gave me those and percosets. I took one percoset an hour before I was going to take the cytotec and it made me SO sick. I was vomiting all night. I finally went to sleep at midnight and woke up at 2 am with bad cramps and heavy heavy bleeding but stopped by 4 am. so I waited until Tuesday morning to take the cytotec. During that time I read a lot of horror stories about others women's experiences with it so I was pretty psyched out to take it by that point. I finally did it around 11am Tuesday and prepared for the worse but nothing happened. Literally nothing. I only had thick ewcm like blood when I wiped. It never really got to my pad. I did have bad cramps for those 5 days and stayed in bed in pain pills. I called my doctor every day and she just kept saying to wait. Finally Saturday I got out of the house and did a lot of walking around and about 4:30 pm, I passed the baby and sac all in one pass. I had 2 days of super light spotting but after that all cramps went away and I feel 100% back to normal. Physically of course.

I took 2 doses of cytotec last Thursday. Worked for me. I did have a d&c 7 years ago. I'd probably do the pill again. Definitely cheaper.

I had 2 doses of the Misoprostol and nothing happened so I'm having my d&c tomorrow! Super nervous!
