Taking temp?

Question

Hi! I am currently on AF, but this is the cycle we will start TTC!  I am wondering, what type of thermometer do those of you who temp use?  I only ask because recently I was sick with the flu and it seemed that neither of our thermometers were very accurate, so I am thinking I should get a new one to temp? Really appreciate suggestions! Fingers crossed for babies :)

Definitely make sure you use a basal thermometer and not just a regular fever thermometer.  And test at the same time each day, keep it next to your bed so you don't move around too much before measuring. 
Here is the brand I use, the only thing I don't like about it is that there is no back light (it's dark when I take my temp). But it stores the last temp so I can turn it on later once it's light out to record the temp.

I bought a special bbt thermometer and I find its readings to be extremely accurate. Last few cycles I used a regular thermometer and my temps were all over the place. This month w the bbt it has been great. I highly recommend it and also make sure you temp at the same time each morning before getting out of bed. I have my alarm set at 8:00 am and the bbt thermometer right next to my bed.
