Best diapers for newborns?

I want to go back and forth between cloth and disposable diapers. But I'm not sure if I should just go with pampers swaddle/ Huggies Snugglers or try a different brand of diapers like the babyganics brand? Has anyone used this brand? I want to start looking at certain diaper brands so I know what to put on our registry.

Pampers! They're awesome! They have an umbilical cord notch and a strip that turns blue when wet! My hospital doesn't use anything but pampers. Neither do I.

We are doing cloth and I have a stash of newborn sizes- we have simplex blueberry, THX, rumparooz auto and rumparooz covers. Since we are doing cloth indont want to worry about disposables at all and just want to get into our routine with cloth.

We are doing cloth diapers once our baby is out of the newborn size and until then we have used a few different brands. The pampers swaddlers gave her a little rash so we tried seventh generation, babyganics, and honest diapers. They all have had the fold down top for the umbilical stump and babyganics specifically has a little "tell you if they are wet" strip. I have really been pleased with all 3 of these brands and haven't had any rash or blowout problems!
