Thoughts on castor oil? I want baby out but I would never do anything to harm her :( I'm 38+4. I know she's ready to come she just needs a little help. I've tried sex, walking, spicy food ect. And nothing

No WAY will I touch the stuff. Terrible for you. The baby will come when she is ready.

I heard it isn't great because you do end up having diarrhea or getting sick with dehydration

I tried castor oil twice & nothing worked. Only got bad diarrhea & a few BH contractions. After reading about nipple stimulation for hours, I finally tried it. Started getting contractions at 9am, checked into hospital at 3:30pm, baby born at 11:50pm all that same night.

I took a whole bottle of castor oil when I was repeatedly in l&d for pre labor with my first. It didn't make it any quicker. I still stayed stuck at a 3 and had to be induced

Saw my midwife on Wednesday....said 1oz castor oil with 4oz coke and eat a potato chip after to cover the taste. It works by gut stimulation irritation your uterus. So hydrate before you start and keep hydrated. Usually takes like 4 hours to kick in. I'm going to do it next week. I'm 37weeks right now
