Love AND Sex?

My boyfriend and I haven't had sex yet, and I'm worried when we do that he might love me less or it will change our relationship in a bad way emotionally. Anyone experience something like that? Is it a reasonable fear?

That does seem to be a common fear, but when you are both ready to make that emotional connection you will know. There is no guarantee that you will stay together or not but make sure that you and him are really ready for that. Good luck

I went through this with my boyfriend . I was a virgin , 15 (almost 16) when we started dating , 17 now . He has a kind of bad past and has been with a few people . I guess you could say he was a wild child . He is also 4 years older than me . I was so afraid he would use me for sex like he used to only want sex from people not date them . Since we have been together he has truly and sincerely changed . I realized he truly loves me and after a year and a half I realized tht if he wanted me for sex , he would have left me a long time ago . After a year and a half he made love to me and it hasn't changed our relationship at all . We are actually even better . Just wait until YOU are ready .

If you really love each other it shouldn't change anything really and will probably make you guys feel closer! Just make sure you don't do it until you're both ready!

I guess this is a normal fear. My ex and I waited a while before we had sex and when we did things did change. I guess that's why he's my ex now
