Amniotic fluid or just pee?

Question

How can u tell if you peed yourself or your water broke. I just peed, and don't really have a problem with peeing myself. I was getting into bed and I couldn't stop leaking!

This happened to me Saturday night, I just smelled it to confirm it wasn't pee. I wasn't sure what, if anything, amniotic fluid should smell like. I had a slow trickle until my water ruptured almost exactly 24 hours after the trickle started. Good luck!

My midwife said it is not a discharge if it does not soak in the pad.

Saturday morning I saturated half a pad and my underwear were completely drenched, so I went to the hospital because I thought I was leaking amniotic fluid, I got tested they said it was not urine or amniotic fluid or discharge, I guess it's just liquid my body has.  I hope they were right and I'm not leaking my amniotic fluid 😑.

I leaked and leaked and OB dr tested it and stil wasn't sure what it was. Turned out it was my amniotic fluid and it had no smell. I delivered my baby boy 28 hours later. If it's coming out without your control and doesn't smell or look like pee, I would assume it means labor is near. But that's my take after what happened to me. 
I delivered my baby at 35 weeks and he's definitely my miracle.

When my waters went I was just getting out of bed and it just came I couldn't stop or control it. Normally the best way to tell is that your waters either don't smell or have a sweet smell to them. I was also told your waters will keep coming till baby is born.
