Truckers wife?

Question

Anyone else have a trucker over the road? I'm 37 weeks and 4 days. I'm so nervous that I'm going to go into labor or my water will break and he will be so far away. I think we will talk more to our doctor to induce week 39 so he can be there with me and baby. Just wondering if there were any other ladies out there in the same situation and how are you coping or what's your plans?

Yes. I'm A Truckers wife. He leaves OTR tomorrow afternoon and I'm 38 weeks today!!!

My husband was trucking, but he came home when I was about 4 months because he was afraid of not being able to make it home. He started driving for a local trucking company and now works in the office as a dispatcher/manager. I can't imagine him being on the road right now while we are so close to our son's arrival. I hope everything works out for you and your husband is able to be home in time!

Yeah. My dr told me he would induce me at 39 weeks. But now that I'm goin on 39 weeks this wed he said he can only induce me if I dilate. My SO took this whole week off thinking we'd meet our baby girl at 39 weeks. :(

My guy is 10 days on/10 days off. 
His work is a fly in, fly out place. They will fly him home in an emergency, but it would take about 10 hours for him to get home. 
Baby needs to stay put until he's done his next set, then he has a month off and baby can come whenever it wants too!
