Acupuncture relieves endo pain ?

Has anyone had acupuncture done for a certain period of time and it actually helped alleviate some of the pain during your period ? Or it helped you conceive ?

It definitely helps the pain. I had a lap done in August and the first month after surgery was extremely painful. The second month, I took only two Motrin, which for me is great because I would take 10 a day due to the pain. This is my third month after surgery and have not taken a single pill. I started acupuncture to help with getting pregnant last month, but I really think it helps the pain. This is the first time in fourteen years I'm not in bent over pain. Hope it works for you!

I just started acupuncture last week. I've been 3 times so far. I had my first laparoscopy a week and a half ago to diagnose and remove endo. Not sure what stage I'm in. But, I can tell you that acupuncture has helped soooo much with my recovery from surgery. I was in no pain just 6 days after surgery. I am a firm believer in it so far. My acupuncturist gave me herbal medicine to help slow down the growth of estrogen...level out the hormones etc. I feel amazing. I plan on using acupuncture while ttc along with yoga, healthy diet, and vitamins.

I'll add that one think I know that has helped me when my endo is bad, is a lower back massage. There's this thing they do in spas with heated rocks that they put on your back... The heat feels really good. Just warmth in general helps.

Some people say it does help them. But it's proven to be more of a psychological effect. My grandma gets acupuncture for relaxation. I've known some people that find it helps, mostly because it's relaxing and it's a psychosomatic effect. If you believe it's going to work, then it will. It never worked for me because I knew how it worked, just like hypnosis. It's all to do with your state of mind. If it helps you relax, it means you're less stressed. Less stress means your chances of conception are slightly higher.
