11 days late and test says not pregnant?

I took a first response test when i got off work yesterday but it says not pregnant but my period is very late... i got off my birth control because it was making me sick and accidentally had sex during my fertile week... :/ i just completely spaced. Anyone ever had this happen?

It will take a while. For some it takes months and sometimes it can even take years. I got off in April and I'm still not regular. My first period was a 70 day cycle and since then my cycles have been going down. It has been 4 months so I'm hoping for something regular soon.

Your body may be adjusting to not having the hormones in your birth control anymore so you'll probably be really late or skip a period.
