Reusable or throw away breast pads?

It's getting close to baby time, which means close to breast feeding, for my first daughter I was never even aware of reusable pads, curious if they would be worth my time this time around? Opinions please!!

If you can breast feed Def get washable it's 25 for a set of 5 over here and 7 for a chuck out box that my sil went thru two in a week I figure if I'm bf for at least 3 weeks I've made my money back

Personally I prefer the disposable ones. I found that they are most absorbent and I like how they stick to my bra.

I've used both and I love the reusable they just aren't as absorbent so you may leak thru. The disposable ones have plastic on the back kinda like a pad and absorb more like a diaper. So they absorb more. But I liked the disposable ones for my sports nursing bra and the reusable ones in my padded bras because they were too think for an unpadded bra

I leaked thru reusables every single time. I was super bummed! Also it was annoying to clean them and wait for them to dry. I ended up using gerber disposables because they're thin, worked like a charm and inexpensive. I'll use them again with my second.

I have an oversupply of milk and would leak through reusable ones and most disposables but I bought Johnsons disposable breast pads and they are by far the best in my opinion. I have never had any leakage issues with that brand.

I used the Nuk ones last time and leaked through but they didn't have the plastic backing like they make now. So maybe the disposable ones will be better since you're more likely to leak through the cloth ones. I'm going with the plastic backing ones.

See that's what I thought about too, the leaking issue. With my first I leaked through the disposables, this time around I'm not as big as I was hopefully I'll still supply enough to feed her!
