Is this normal?

My LO HATES latching on my left side and mostly refuses even with the nipple shield. However, he will latch on the right with the nipple shield and then transition to without the shield halfway through. Is it common for babies to prefer one side to the other ?

Yes I now just feed from one side, my LO preferred one side and latched better so I just went with the flow because if was easy at the time and slowly the supply decreased. I now just pump it once a day to keep it going but she doesn't feed from it.

Try side laying to nurse, or pump and prune that side first then see if baby will latch.

Mine hates the right side, but I produce more milk on the left- so no mystery here!

Yes it's common. Can be related to let down or in my babies case she had rye neck (I think the medical term is torticolis but not 100%) basically she had a stiff neck and couldn't turn her head left meaning she was uncomfortable when feeding on one side

Is this normal?
