Tested to early?

I took a pregnancy test today, about 5 days before my periods due, the test says it can detect it 6 days before your periods due (First Response) it tested negative :( my friend tested 5 days before her period and it came out positive.. did i test the to early or am i just not pregnant?.

I tested early, about a week before and it was negative. I tested two days late and I got a faint positive and now a dark positive. I'm 7w5d

I'd wait and retest. I'm a day late so I took a test and it came out positive

My issue is that my period is super irregular, so I have no idea when to test. I've taken two pregnancy tests, at 2 weeks after sex during ovulation and 3.5 weeks after, and both came back negative. But starting right around 2 weeks after I started feeling nauseous, and I'm still not 100%. I can't figure out if I'm just testing too early, or if I should just not get my hopes up anymore at this point. 😩

It could be either. Everyone's levels of hormones are different. If it's still negative in another 2 days, I would say it's definitely negative.
