Got drunk and cheated! Help.

I've been with my man for 8 years and I cheated last night with a co worker we were at a bar and ended up at his place and made out nothing more I feel horrible. I want to stay in my relationship do I have to tell him? I only kissed nothing more. I think if I tell him we will break up!
