Is this the placenta?

I have been staring at my ultrasound trying to figure out the placenta. What do you all think? This is an 8 week ultrasound. Thanks in advance!

Also if you look up where the placenta is on an ultrasound it's always showing a greyish area outside of the large black area. This is why it's so confusing! Everyone has different answers. 😕 I will just have to ask my doctor. I should have done it when I was there but I was too excited!

The top pic is an empty uterus and the bottom is twins. So I don't think the black area is the uterus. Or the lady with twins has two ;)
