Emotional affairs?

Just wondering if you ladies think they are real and how you would define it?

I do think it's a real thing.  The definition would be different for each couple though just like physical cheating.  To me if I was having to delete conversations I'm having with someone I shouldn't be having them, that's not necessarily emotional cheating but I just don't think I should be doing/saying anything to someone of the opposite sex that I couldn't share with my husband.

The boundaries of cheating wether it's emotional of physical should be determined by every couple.

I'm mixed on this. I have a lot of intimately emotional relationships outside of my marriage and it seems normal. Some of them came about because there are many things at work that legally can't come home, others because things are hard to understand from outside. I think it would be a problem if I ever started avoiding emotionally intimate topics with my husband but as long as we still get along and we rely on each other as primary confidantes and supports, I'm not sure there's an issue.

They are very real, and can just as damaging (sometimes more so) than physical affairs.
