So I'm 38w5d, and seeing my OB clinic weekly. (I hate the clinic, but it was the only place to accept my insurance for the hospital I want to deliver at) anywho, the only thing they do at each appointment is listen to the baby's heart rate and measure my belly. Shouldn't they be checking my cervix by now? I've seen/heard of people dilating at this point in pregnancy and I have no idea if I am or my effacement. Is this normal because I haven't had any contractions? I just feel like I'm not getting adequate care here...
