SO smoking weed

So I'm seriously fed up. I'm sick of him telling people he quit and putting on this facade. It's so lame and just shows how he's weak as hell. He only quit for a week so he wouldn't drop dirty, then he goes right back to it. I'm sick of his moods as well. It's like I'm dealing with a woman. Rant over....

Stopping for a week will not be enough to not drop dirty...

I work for a family law attorney and we deal with parents who smoke weed all the time. Most times, CPS sets up parenting classes and on-going random drug screens before they remove the children. If there are other factors, then they'll remove them immediately. If you aren't married, then CPS would suggest you dump him because they take the attitude of, "if he/she will smoke weed around a child, what else will they do?"

Here in Tx, they only remove on the first call of there is a "clear and present" danger to the child. Our foster care system is so overloaded they can't remove every child they receive a call about. Additionally, CPS orders don't override current court orders.

It all depends on the state. Most time unless something goes to court you will not see am attorney of any sort. First call CPS must remove kids and do an investigation. And who wants to take any chances with their kids?!?!

I would not be in that situation. You have a baby on the way and what happens if he gets arrested on drug charges? Kids get taken away for this sort of thing. Not trying to be judgmental but it's time for a change. Your SO needs to be a man and get help if he wants a family.

Really? One call from someone to Child Protective Services and you will have people at your door investigating and potentially taking the child claiming child endangerment. You need to look into criminal law and the rules of your state. Where I live we have to report this and CPS is called.

My ex was smoking weed everyday around our infant son. We argued about it constantly and it's one of the reasons I chose to leave him. Your child doesn't need that kind of negative influence in his/her life.

My boyfriend and I used to smoke together all the time. But I did eventually quit because it made Mr tired all the time (this was a month before I got pregnant). And when we found out I was pregnant, he stopped too. Just because he is do much more focused on the baby and I now, and he could potentially get caught doing it. I'm so thankful he made that decision for us. Talk to your SO, maybe he needs a push.
