How long should you wait until TTC again?

Question

My doctor said I should wait until I've had at least 2 periods, but I've heard such varied stories.

How long did they tell you to wait, or if you're pregnant again, how long did you wait?

I guess I'm not sure why I'm waiting.

I was told to wait until after 1regular cycle. I did and got pregnant right away again. Thwy want you to wait at least one cycle toknow when you got pregnant and for dating purposes

My doctor told me to wait till after I get my first period. I had a d&c and they scrape the lining of my uterus to make sure everything is out. By waiting a cycle the lining of my uterus should thicken and allow for better implantation.

The midwife told me that it's best to wait until after I've had at least one proper period - but the reasoning was because it makes it easier to date the pregnancy,  there isn't actually a real health reason for waiting. A lot of women I have spoken to got pregnant right after a miscarriage and had healthy pregnancies.

Doctor told me to wait for steady 2cy. I didn't understand why cause he didn't give me a go breakdown. Long story short my HCG level was still a five my first cycle he never told me I went and got my blood work paper record. 2nd cycle I went and had blood work done with someone else HCG leave <1 while on my AF. The same day I got the blood work down same day this huge enormous clot bigger that a half dollar slid out I had no cramps the whole time went on to finish my AF. Now in the 2ww

I think it depends on how far along you were. I was only 4 weeks 6 days and my levels went down very quickly. This happened on the 13th of August. I am currently in my Tww. We started immediately. I had a positive opk so I know I am ovulating. Had I been farther along I would of waited one full cycle

The only reason to wait is to avoid frustration. Your cycle after pregnancy is hard to predict. Once you have had two periods you will know what your new cycle looks like. Bleeding during MC is not a period and therefore no use in determining cycle length. I am no expert, just had my second period after MC myself. This is just what my doctor told me.
