Changing friendships

So since my baby was born 5 weeks ago, one of my longtime best friends has not contacted me. Not even a congratulations on a baby photo on facebook. I messaged her to wish her happy birthday about a week after my daughter was born and got no reply. This is a friend who threw my baby shower. my husband says I should try to make things right with her for whatever happened, but I'm just not sure if it's worth it. What would you do?
