Did your IVF cycle start with the pill?

Hi ladies I just want to know who started IVF with the pill and if you did not how did your first cycle go? Did you get enough quality eggs? Thanks in advance

Yes when I did Ivf I had the pill. For my FET cycle I did not.

Yes my cycle started with the pill. We had a successful 5 day transfer and now I have a healthy 2 month old baby girl :). Good luck!

Yes I did 3 weeks of pills and had 34 eggs retrieved, 25 fertilized, and 10 made it to day5/6 frozen blastocysts. Good luck!

I did not start with the pill due to suffering from severe migraines, so my RE wanted to reduce any amount of hormones she could for me. I only was on stims for 7 days. I am 30 yrs old and had 24 eggs at retrieval- 17 of those were mature, 13 fertilized, and 8 made it to day 5. We transferred 1 blastocyst and have 7 frozen siblings waiting. I am currently 5dp5dt. I hope my journey eases some of your concerns. However, everyone is different. We did IVF due to make factor infertility, so I have a very high egg reserve and all my hormone levels are within the normal range. Good luck to you and if you are really concerned with the no birth control protocol, talk to your RE about the pros and cons. Baby dust xo
