Toy trains

Hey everyone, I'm just curious, I have 2 boys...they love toy trains, like thomas and friends. My brother in law is always telling me and them that trains are for girls and only sissy boys play with trains. My sister (his wife) has the same views and constantly makes fun of my boys for playing with trains. I have since stopped talking to them and don't really see them unless it's a family thing, but am I over reacting?? I think trains are awesome, they are huge and fun!! Weighing hundreds of tons and also very dangerous. Should I forgive my sister and brother in law?? Or just stay away from them because it upsets my youngest when he says those things to them. It angers my oldest!!
