Miscarried our miracle baby at 11w4d, and absolutely devastated...
Woke up bleeding on Monday the 31st. Went in to see my OB an hour later, he did an ultrasound but found no heartbeat. We could see my heart was still pumping blood to/from his little body via the placenta, but he was gone. Measured a bit small, more like 9w5d instead of 11w4d like he should have been. But we just did an ultrasound a week ago and he was still there, so not exactly sure what happened. Had a D&C, sent baby out for histopathology. Been dealing with a lot of pain, bleeding, contractions, and passing tissue.
My fiance' and I are emotionally shattered as this was our miracle baby. I am 30 with a 9-year-old daughter from my first marriage, and had a miscarriage in 2009 at 8 weeks. My fiance is 43 with no biological children of his own despite having been married for 19 years. I have a slightly bicornuate, severely retrograde uterus with a long history of fibroids, ovarian cysts, and repro problems. My fiance' has low sperm motility and many are abnormal. This pregnancy was one in a million, something we never thought was possible. We were absolutely over the moon and so excited as we watched him grow and get stronger. Then seeing him lying there sleeping on that screen with no heartbeat...I feel like we just got taken out at the knees. We have never felt that kind of pain.
We will be trying again as soon as possible, but we are definitely fearful. We know God has a plan, and we trust in His guidance. Please keep us in your prayers.
