Narcolepsy meds and BC
Has anybody ever been on both NuVigil (or Provigil) and BC? Did you have any breakthrough bleeding? Is there a BC that can keep the hormones in balance and allow for me to stay awake??
I wasn't even advised by my doctors or pharmacists of what could happen, but I figured it would because I researched NuVigil before I started it and read that it just makes BC so ineffective there's no point in taking BC. I was on NuvaRing when I started the NuVigil and I just had breakthrough bleeding until I stopped the NuVigil for 2 weeks. I just started the patch because we think that because you get more estrogen that it may work with the NuVigil better, but who knows! Anyone else had to deal with this?
