Has anyone had a problem with the depo shot During or after taking it

It's believed to have contributed to my osteoporosis diagnosis/hip fracture at 28. I had been on it for a number of years when the FDA announced it could cause bone loss.

My aunt was on it for years got pregnant with her four kids while on it. But now she cant have anymore kids. Her doctor told her that her back and neck are weak because of the depo shot after being on it for so long it can cause your bones to degenerate. She only in her 30s and her bone structure is that of  80 or 90 yr old woman. Ive been off of it for two.or three years never had any problems w
While on it. But since ive been off my period always off track and some months I wont have a period

I didn't have a problem while being on it, but after getting off of it I gained a lot of weight & my husband & I are having trouble conceiving even after being off of it after 2+ years. For some people it's stays in your system for a year or more sometimes depending on your body.

DO NOT GET THIS!!!! Normally my periods are 6-7 days every month but whenever I got that shot I would be on my period for 5-6 days off for 1-2 days then start again and it was lik this for TEN WEEKS

I had it two different time frames of my adulthood and two different reactions. The first time I actually thought it was great. It stopped my periods... didn't have to deal with the mess. I didn't gain weight as some say. I didn't have to worry about taking the pill everyday... just a shot every 3 months. Eventually I stopped getting the depo considering I wasn't sexual active at the time. Years later I got it again when I started dating someone. Immediately I broke out like crazy. It got worse as the months went on. I gave myself 3 months and my faces basically looked like connect the dots. I was also having spotting throughout the months and my cm dried up. It was embarrassing for me when I had sex... no wetness at all. Sorry TMI. If I wasn't TTC now I would stick to bc pills.

I was on depo for five years. Got one last period after starting and then didn't bleed again until 5 months after my last shot. We have been trying to conceive for a year though with no luck

I gained weight an became very depressed. It almost ruined my relationship with my now husband. 
It also made TTC a pain in the ass. But I did finally get pregnancy. Some women it takes years of trying though.

I was a poster child for the shot. I lost weight, no af after I got my second shot, and no mood swings, nothing. I managed to not get any side effects luckily. I've known a lot of women who have had trouble on it though. It's definitely not for everyone.
