Introducing lube & toys to sex?

I've been dating my boyfriend for almost a year and a half now, and before I started my new birth control we were having sex at least two times a day. However, nursing school, new birth control, and stress, have made my sex drive go down and made my nights full of studying instead of getting it on. When we do have sex, I honestly have trouble enjoying it like I used to. I love my man and want to keep him (and myself!) happy.  I really think that adding things like lube an a couples sex toy for sex would spice things is & make the intimate time we do have together amazing, but am scared to introduce it. He does have arm and leg ties on his bed that we use from time to time so I feel like he wouldn't find it too odd, but still want to introduce it in a sexy and unawkard way. Any tips, product recommendations, etc would be greatly appreciated! My birthday is on Friday, and I feel like that'd be the perfect time to do it!
