Middle Names? Yes or No

So we decided with our first daughter we would only give her one beautiful name so she wouldn't waste time filling in forms, and spelling it every time, when after all a middle name is seldom used (unless it's a name you can say all together like a Marry Anne, Jean Paul...or your last name is too popular...) now we are having our boy and we will do the same! One name. What is your opinion on the subject? Anyone else not giving their babies middle names?
