Period while tubing?

Hi girls, I'm new to this but I'm kind of iffy about going on a trip this weekend to Arizona to go tubing. I'm supposed to be getting my period sometime this week and idk if using a tampon will be ok to go tubing.. It's usually about 5 hours on the water so idk if that's unsanitary to keep it in that long... Thoughts??

Get a menstrual cup, you can keep those in for 12 hours if needed and have no issues. They are sanitary and made out of medical grade silicone so they can be used for multiple cycles saving money. Plus you will only need the one cup to travel nothing else needed not a huge box of tampons, pads or a mix of both.

It depends on how heavy your periods are. I would do it! 😉 Sounds like so much fun!

Use a super absorbent tampon or invest in a menstrual cup. I've been using one for about 2 years now - they are awesome! On heavy period days, I usually empty it once or twice during the day- but regular and light days - you can leave it in all day!

Depending on your flow, you can keep a tampon in for up to 8 hours.
