Flu Shot?

So my doctors recommend the flu shot. I haven't had one since I was very very little. Other than that my mom did research and then always turned them down. And I've been fine. I only got it one time. So I'm thinking about it and if like to know pros and cons. Because I feel like if its past through my son than he wouldn't get sick. But I've also hear that the shots don't  really work anymore.

I've never received the shot, I used to get the flu 1 time every year. I've built immunities and I've been good for years. I refuse to have it.

I got the flu shot because if you get sick with the flu it can be harmful to you and baby. Not worth the risk. I would Ask your practice. I wasn't going to at first but when I found out some mothers have died from the flu during pregnancy or lost the baby I said "which arm do you want". It's not common but why risk it. Wasn't going to do chicken pox vax for our daughter but when I found out 8-10 kids a year died from it when I was a kid we got it. It's just not worth the risk to me even if the odds are in my favor.

I'll get mine. The side effects are very minimal, and flu can kill you. And the baby. I like being able to breathe. I also had a boss who caught the flu and even ten years later she stil has trouble breathing because her lungs were damaged. Even in the years that the vaccine is only kind of effective, well, I feel that even a 50% less chance of catching it is totally worth the possibility of a little pain or any of the other side effects. They'll give you a list of side effects of each version of you ask.
