C section concerns!

I have no reason to think I will need a c section but I know things come up and you never really know! For any mama's who have had a c section, where does baby go while mama gets cleaned up and such? I want to breastfeed as soon as possible and would love the idea of either me or my husband doing skin to skin with baby. My fear is that family members will get to hold baby before I will! Can someone just give me some of their experiences to ease my worries!
