IUGR stories needed
Hi everyone, I am currently 24+2 with my third child. I had an early miscarriage earlier this year, but I also have two healthy children from 2 uncomplicated pregnancies. At my 20 week scan I was told the baby was measuring 2 weeks behind, so I was sent to a specialist which confirmed those findings. I had a follow up yesterday and the baby is still measuring 2 weeks behind, which puts it <10% for growth. I have another scan in 4 weeks, but it is looking like I'm about to be officially diagnosed with growth restriction.
I am being told I will be considered high risk, have scans twice a week to watch for stress on the baby, and we will hope to make it to 38 weeks. I am a pediatric nurse, so I know enough to be scared, but not enough to be confident in what's going to happen. I have no risk factors for IUGR, so I don't know how this can be explained.
Does anyone have any experience with this? Any advice?
