So I'm 34 and I have pcos. Because of this I've never had a period on my own. Very sad and shameful :( anyway, when I was married, my ex and I tried everything to conceive but nothing worked. I actually think it was a blessing since we are now divorced and he would have not been there for a family. Now I'm happily with my guy and the doctor put me back on Metformin. I've been on this on and off for years and it did nothing but make me sick. Recently within this last year I've lost about 50 pounds and she put me on this for the PC OS. I honestly had no intentions of trying to conceive because I thought it was never going to happen. But this time the metformin has actually works and I started my cycle regularly. I'm trying not to get my hopes up because like I said I've tried everything before and the doctor at the fertility clinic told me I shouldn't try when I'm older. But has anyone else had any luck with metformin? I would love to start a family and I'm trying not to set myself up for failure.
