Cold medicine while pregnant?

Does anyone know if it is ok to take cold medicine in first trimester? I know benadryl is ok but that's not cold medicine :(

I looked it up and found that DayQuil was fine....... I took 3/4 a regular dose to ease my symptoms. You could always call the nurse line of your dr for added assurance - I am not certified or know all about pregnancy

The only thing I would do is take a Tylenol and drink some tea and rest. I will not risk taking combination cold meds again. If it's still bad after a week then try something stronger.
