My friend just got her first Ultrasound and they only saw the yolk sack. Is this normal? She is worried.

Happened to me too. At almost 7 weeks, we saw our heartbeat.

Totally normal. Same thing happened to me at 5 weeks. Had another u/s at 6 weeks saw the baby and heart beat! It's just too early to tell .

I was 5 weeks and days when I went to my ultrasound and she looked and looked for about 30min just when she was going to give up and say it was probably too early her hand slipped an bam we say a tiny little bean too small to hear heartbeat went back at 8weeks praying baby was still growing and sure was (: good luck to her

I had an ultrasound at exactly 5 weeks and 2 days due to spotting, and they saw nothing. Not a thing lol it was too early. I'm now 37 and a half weeks pregnant with my third child. Best of luck!
