Ugh..men

So my boyfriend of four years has never EVER gone to any of my family outings. He is expecting the same with our child on the way. I told him I will not let him ruin the child's holidays and family outings just because he doesn't want to go...what should I do? I'm tempted to just restrict him on how much he is going to participate in this child's life because he has never met my family but my mother, father step mother and sisters and niece...it's frustrating bc I refuse to let this happen but he doesn't give a crap how I feel...
