Would you left your sister wet nurse for you?

My sister has a 2 year old who still nurses, and we live together (by choice). She offers to breastfeed my son so I can sleep, run errands, catch up on work, etc. I just don't know how I feel about it. It just seems kinda odd to me. So I haven't let her. I'm just wondering how you ladies would feel about it. :)

I agree with Angie. Only if I was physically unable to do it. It's not just the milk that is important it's the time you're spending with your baby. The lack of sleep and finding the time to run errands is all part of becoming a Mother.

I've nursed friends kids and I've had friends nurse mine. Both my kids won't take a bottle and a few times there were emergencies like me being in the hospital etc. I would also feed my kids donated milk if I wasn't able to produce. Personally another moms milk is better than formula for my family.

Maybe after pumping - ppl donate their milk all the time - but on the breast would be too personal for me

Her Breast milk might not contain what your baby needs. Breast milk changes for baby as they age. Or at least that's what I have been told. I personally would feed a friend or family members baby if they needed and if it was an absolute emergency I would allow a very close friend or family member to nurse my child.

It's completely up to you and what you feel comfortable with. I have a friend that I've offered to do it for. She isn't the healthiest so I wouldn't allow her to feed my son. My mom and I have even discussed that if something happened to me she would step in and get her milk flowing for my child. Lol

I voted yes but I also am in-between. It would be a more if I am working and you are baby sitting yes or in case of an emergency but any other time I would say no. My baby is not born yet so I haven't completely experienced it yet but I would like the bonding time...
