I've been on the shot now for about 13 days is it normal for me to not get my period? I was supposed to start a couple days ago

Yes, many women actually don't get periods at all while on the depo. Others will continue to have regular bleedings, and some may even bleed continuously for a bit.

Very normal. I was actually on my period when I got the shot, it completely went away and I haven't gotten it since.. Just some light bleeding but that's it. Due for my next session in October

I'm on my 4th shot for depo my first 2 I bleed the whole time it was awful and then after my third one I haven't been bleed since. The only down side is if you eventually wanna have kids it could possible take a year for your body to return to normal but everyone is different!

You're technically not suppose to get your period while on the depo, but everyone is different. I had a very light and irregular period while on it, I was on it for almost two years, last shot was January should have went back in April and we decided to start trying for baby #2 in April and still have yet to have success this is our 5th month trying, we got pregnant with our son in the first month so I have no doubt in my mind the reason I have not yet conceive is due to the depo shot. I saw my doctor today and she straight out told me it can take up to 18 months to get my fertility back due to the shot!

I've been on the depo for a few years now because I have pcos and endometriosis. It has stopped everything ie pain and period. I recently had a test done to see if I can still conceive and 👍👍👍 I can so if I do choose to go off the depo in the next year to have babies I can 😃.  You know it's working if it has stopped your period. But if you still aren't sure best to call your doctor. Xx

I missed several of my periods on depo, (I skipped the my first period after my shot, and it didn't help that I was getting over a scare and a lot of other things too) I completely freaked myself out. Don't worry, it's normal, though I've heard that "pregnancy symptoms" on depo is normal as well (having pregnancy symptoms, no period, and negative pregnancy tests-while on depo-freaked a lot of women, including me, out on those babycenter forums). If you have concerns, ask your dr, as they should be able to help.
