When is it safe to shop for baby

I voted for 3rd trimester bc I previously lost a baby at 19 weeks. I thought we were in the clear, but I would have been devastated if I had already bought things and then had to return them.

With my second I bought maternity clothes when I was 6weeks because zulily had a great sale on summer stuff and I knew I would need it. I almost did it again this pregnancy and I am only 5 weeks... But stuff for the baby I wait until 2nd trimester

That really depends on you.

Some start before the hpt has even dried because they are do excited and overjoyed.

Others wait till 2nd trimester so as not to "jinx" themselves.

And some put it off till 3rd trimester because they have other life things that needed to get taken care of first.

There's no right answer to your question. Only what's right for you.
