I miss bath time. :(

Ashley
I love taking baths and 99% of the time bathe instead of taking a shower. My doc told me no baths until my 6 week checkup and I have to say, this is harder than nine months without sushi or wine. :( Does that make me crazy? Womp womp.

Yikes! My doctor never mentioned this. I had a bath at 4 weeks, hope everything goes well tomorrow at my 6 week check up. :/

I was encouraged to take a warm salt bath & have a good soak to help heal my "Bits".

I was told no baths for 6 weeks also. I was told ALOT of things not till 6 weeks but sorry.... I'm a SAHM of a 4yo who goes to school every day, I also care for my mom who lives with us & if I don't do it, it doesn't get done... I avoided the stairs & walking long distances for 3 weeks, I didn't drive for a week... I waited 2 weeks to take a bath. I have to do the food shopping or we would starve... I came home from the hospital & threw in a load of laundry. I just pay attention to my body.

I can't wait to be able to go swimming again! Summer is in full effect here.

Why did he say no baths? Mine encouraged it to soak my stitches.

Yikes. At three weeks today I feel fine, guess I've lucked out!

It's a huge risk of infection. I heard a study recently that said when bath tubs and toilets were swabbed for bacteria, tubs came out to be dirtier! Yuck!! There's also a chance your cervix isn't closed yet until 6 week though most women close at 2-3 weeks.
