Use a pink dye test I get getting positive with these tests & negative with the pink dye. Turns out I wasn't pregnant.

Too early to tell. The box says it works 5 days before missed AF. Wait a few days and test again with fmu.

You can be pregnant and get a negative one day before your period. 8 days before is WAY early to test! 
You aren't out till Aunt flow comes knocking :)

8 days before expected AF does seem rather soon. Try again closer to expected AF. You will get a more accurate result.
