Braxton hicks?

What does a Braxton hick feel like? I got a really sharp cramp and my whole belly tightened for like 5 seconds then it went away. Felt like a very sharp period cramp in the same area just a bit more intense. Is that a Braxton hick?

I had the same thing happen last night.  It was in my back too it hurt to move so I had to just sit still

I've been experiencing this lately minus the cramp feeling. It's been more frequent lately. I asked my doctor this morning and they said Braxton hicks. I am definitely going to start keeping a count of how many times it happens a day.
