Hsg dye test and ultrasound

Ok so I posted this on another group but wanted to put it here to for more responses; Anyone have experience with these and want to share? I'm a little nervous as she says the dye is uncomfortable and feels like cramps! I have to schedule these after(if) my next period starts next week. My obgyn said that a large number of people get pregnant 1-3 months after the dye test because it unclogs blockage, can anyone attest?

I just had this test done a few weeks ago and it wasn't bad getting it done just a little uncomfortable. But I did have cramps for many hours after which i personal that was the worst part. But no blockage 👍

My obgyn said many fall pregnant 1-3 months after so if that's what you're wanting, hoping the best for you!

I know people are saying it didn't hurt, but that was not my experience. I almost threw up from the pain and started to pass out while they were removing everything. Things like paps don't even bother me. But the hsg was unreal

They told me to take some Advil (or something like that) before I came. There's no way in hell I'd ever get another one unless they prescribed me some strong pain medicine.

I had my hsg done last cycle. There was some cramping during the test and bloating that day. Then I have some bleeding for 6 days afterwards and it caused my period to be 8 days late. It was a cruel joke lol

I had mine about two weeks ago. I had a Valium before which helped with my anxiety. It's really not as bad as some bloggers/posters make it out to be. I did cramp for an hour or so after.

I had this done in May, and it was uncomfortable getting it done, but it is very quick. Once they get started it only takes about 10 minutes, so you can do it! With mine they did find a polyp that I just had removed, and now we are clear to start trying again. Good luck!
