Has anyone had a spot on heart on ultrasound???

We just got a call from our nurse and they saw a spot on his heart from our 18 week ultrasound. Has anyone had this or heard of this and what it could lead to?

My son had this (cant remember the medical term, echiocardic focus or something like that) It turned out to be nothing. Hes a happy healthy 2 1/2 year old with no problems and that spot is long gone. I wouldnt stress about it at all!

This happened to one of my friends and the Dr. told them it was a soft marker fit Down's Syndrome. They have a beautiful and healthy 2 1/2 year old now with no problems whatsoever. Good luck!

I had this on my 18 week ultrasound and they asked me to come back and it wasn't there, so it could just be the position or equipment too. Hope everything is okay ❤️

One of my close friends was told with her pregnancy last December that her son had a whole or something on his heart at her 18wk scan. She was also feeling a bit scared. But it ended up being nothing in the end and baby was perfect. Good luck to you!

My son did around that same time and they think it was small calcium deposits? They checked it at each ultrasound and think he eventually absorbed them. He's 5 now with no issues whatsoever.

When I was pregnant with my son they found 2 dark spots in his heart. Turned out to be white blood cells. Tested for Down syndrome through the amniotic sac (barely hurt) & a few weeks later told everything was perfectly fine. Hope everything is okay!
