Contraction?

Due to a kidney infection and severe dehydration I started having contractions, they were able to stop them but does this mean now I could go into labor anytime if I'm not careful? How do contractions work? How can you go from having them, to completely stopping them? I'm having a scheduled Csection so I can't go into labor because it would be pointless... Anyone know if anything will change as far as my Csection will my doctor do it sooner? My appointment is Monday but just wanted to see what you moms thought
