Dr opinion about depo

My dr told me to not worry..... She said its normal that I dont have my period even if I'm off depo for 10 months now.... It will come back when my body is ready, its usual stuff after years with depo. Well. Thank you... But when I told her I wanted to have a baby in almost two years, so my plan was to stop depo a year before starting TTC she never explained it could be so long before having periods/ovulate. I would have stop earlier!!! Anybody feels like Dr don't even know what they are talking about when it comes to depo?
