No flu shot??

Question

Anybody else not getting the flu shot?? I'm getting the TDAP but I've never had the flu shot and I've heard horror stories about them.. Am I bad mom for not getting it???? I'm torn!

I will absolutely be getting the flu shot. Already had the TDaP. Those diseases aren't worth risking an infants life on. The flu can kill a healthy adult so imagine how quickly it would kill an infant. And those stupid arguments that people have never been sick so they don't need a flu shot... I've never been in a car accident but I still wear my seatbelt and make sure my car has good crash ratings.

I got it. Did you know they have a preservative free vaccine for pregnancy? That is what I got.

I am for sure getting mine! I have asthma so my immune system is low, so I need all the help I can get to breastfeed my babies and for them to be healthy :) my 7 year old is getting one too since its flu season and the babies don't need to catch it!

I get the flu shot every year for work. I never feel sick afterwards and can't remember the last time I had the flu.

I didn't get the tdap with my daughter until after I gave birth in the hospital and didn't get my flu shot either. They offered me the tdap this pregnancy and I refused since the shot is good up to 10 years and I had it two and a half years ago. I don't feel comfortable adding things to my body while pregnant. I never get a flu shot and I don't have my daughter get one either. You're not a bad mom.

I definitely wont be getting a flu shot i never get them and am not a big fan of vaccinations.  I'll probably get the tdap after the baby still on the fence with that one too. Don't plan on taking my little guy out that much this winter. I plan on keeping our hands washed and not letting people hold my baby. Just grandparents and great grands!

I did not get the flu shot even though I work as a teacher in a middle school. I have never gotten the flu shot and opted not to get it even while pregnant. I haven't been sick and am quite satisfied with my decision not to get it. I did get the TDAP shot last week and was worried about the side effects as my husband got the TDAP the week before and had a mild fever and nausea but I didn't have any side effects besides a sore arm!

I've been having mixed emotions as well! My OB said I could take the shot this year just not the nasal spray! He said the nasal spray is a live virus vs the shot which is a dead virus! I don't know girls I just don't t know!
